I love to build websites, it’s one of the ways that I get to express my creativity. However, many people out there aren’t interested in building websites and would rather have someone else do it for them. They might be more interested in promotion, saving time, or focusing on other aspects of their business. Either way, buying websites is one of the best ways to accumulate virtual real estate without having to build sites yourself.

What’s great about buying websites is the fact that you can acquire ones that are already established, getting traffic, and possibly making money. In my experience, the hardest part about earning revenue with a website is getting it off the ground. Unless you are willing to pay for your traffic (and I’m not), then it’s going to take at least a couple weeks before you begin to earn revenue off of it.

There are many websites for sale that have been established for months. This means that the search engines know it’s there and are most likely visiting frequently. Also, if the owner has been promoting it consistently and also adding more content over time, then you have a site that is ready to start earning or may have already earned.

Of course, you will have to pay more if the site is making money, but I believe that it’s worth it. You will be saving yourself a lot of time. Also, a site that has made money has proven that it can be successful. You know that niche is capable of making money. When creating a site from scratch, you never know for sure what you are getting. With an established site that has earned revenue, you know what you are getting.
